1. The competition

1. The Edgbaston Go Green Competition (the "Competition") is run by Lightwave to celebrate the Go Green Game at Edgbaston Stadium on Day Three of England v Pakistan.
2. By entering, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
3. The Competition is organised by Lightwave alone. It is not run by, and entrants' information is not shared with, Edgbaston Stadium, Warwickshire County Cricket Club or the England and Wales Cricket Board.

2. Who can enter

1. The Competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over.
2. Employees of Lightwave and its group companies, their immediate families, and anyone else professionally connected with running the Competition may not enter.
3. We may ask the winner for proof of identity, age and address before awarding the prize.

3. How to enter

1. No purchase is necessary. Entry is free.
2. To enter, scan the QR code on the Lightwave flyer or visit lightwaverf.com/collections/the-edgbaston-go-green-collection, select "Enter the competition", and submit your answer to the question below with your first name and email address (last name optional).
3. The question is: "Can you guess how many smartphone charges' worth of carbon Edgbaston Cricket Ground has saved since going live with the Lightwave system in January 2025?" Answers must be a single number.
4. The Competition opens at 09:00 on 11 September 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 30 September 2026 (UK time) (the "Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be counted.
5. Only one entry per person and per email address is allowed. If more than one entry is received from the same person, only the first will count.
6. Entries made in bulk, by automated means, by third parties, or that are incomplete will be disqualified.
7. We are not responsible for entries that are not received for any reason, including technical faults. Proof of submitting an entry is not proof of receipt.

4. The correct answer and choosing the winner

1. The correct answer was calculated by Lightwave before the Competition opened, using energy data recorded by the Lightwave system at Edgbaston Stadium from January 2025 to 31 August 2026, converted into carbon saved and then into an equivalent number of smartphone charges. A record of the answer and method is held by Lightwave and will be made available on request after the Closing Date.
2. The winner will be the eligible entrant whose answer is closest to the correct answer, whether above or below it.
3. If two or more eligible entrants are equally close, the winner will be chosen at random from those entrants by a person independent of the Competition.
4. The winner will be selected within 7 days of the Closing Date. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. The prize

1. There is one prize: a Lightwave smart home starter kit with a total recommended retail value of over £1,000.
2. Installation is not included. Lightwave products use standard UK wiring and we recommend they are installed by a qualified electrician.
3. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. If a prize item becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control, we will provide an alternative of equal or greater value.
4. The prize will be delivered free of charge to a UK mainland address within 30 days of the winner confirming their details.

6. Contacting the winner

1. We will contact the winner by email, using the address given on their entry, within 7 days of the Closing Date, and will make at least two attempts to contact them.
2. The winner must reply within 14 days of our first email to claim the prize. If they do not, we may award the prize to the next closest eligible entrant.
3. The winner's surname and county, and the correct answer, will be available for 4 weeks after the winner is confirmed by emailing info@lightwaverf.com with the subject "Edgbaston competition winner". Please tell us when you claim the prize if you object to this.
4. With the winner's agreement only, we may use their first name, county and photograph in publicity about the Competition.

7. £25 Go Green voucher

1. The £25 voucher code shown on the flyer is a separate offer. You do not need to enter the Competition to use it, and using it does not affect your chance of winning.
2. The voucher can be used once per customer, on products in the Go Green collection at lightwaverf.com, before 23:59 on 31 October 2026.
3. The voucher has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash or used with any other discount code, and cannot be applied to orders already placed.

8. Your personal information

1. We use the name, email address and answer you give us only to run the Competition, including contacting the winner.
2. We will only send you marketing emails if you ticked the box to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
3. We will delete entry details for anyone who did not opt in to marketing within 3 months of the Closing Date.

9. General

1. We may cancel, change or suspend the Competition if something beyond our reasonable control means it cannot run as planned. We will only do so where necessary, and will tell entrants.
2. We may disqualify anyone we reasonably believe has broken these terms or tried to enter dishonestly.
3. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
4. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
